Knife Sharpening Services 
The Sharpening Shack will sharpen the following types of knives and cutlery:
Cutlery (Kitchen Knives) Sharpening
We can sharpen your basic to best kitchen and cutlery to a razors-edge sharpness. We sharpen American, Chinese, European and Japanese knives to the correct angle and edge type. You will wonder why you didn't take those knives in sooner to get sharpened.
Hunting & Filet Knives Sharpened
We sharpen hunting and filet knives by hand or by grinding stone, depending on the condition and shape of the blade. Your knife will cut threw paper like butter when we are done.
Tactical Knives Sharpened
Tactical and military knives require a sharp but heavier edge to withstand the rough treatment these blades will endure. We can sharpen all tactical knives by hand using stones and micro-sandpaper, then they are honed and stropped too give you a "scary sharp blade edge".
Serrated & Multi-Blade Knife Sharpening
We sharpen all serrated knives by hand to assure clean a correct edges. Most round serrations are no problem to sharpen but many of the new TV knife sets have micro or double sided serrations that do not allow for sharpening because the knives where never intended to be sharpened (Ginsu Knives for example are double serrated knives that are not meant to be sharpened) Serrated knives will cost an extra $1 per/knife.
Multi-blade pocket knives can also be sharpened for an $2 extra per/knife.

Many times when you buy a new knife it's not sharpened properly, as was the case with the Amazon Bowie knife above. Let us put the proper-edge on the knife based upon the type of use the knife will be used for.

We sharpen knife blades based upon use or to factory angled edges. We sharpen all knives either by hand our by using state-of-the-art stone or diamond grinding machinery. You can request hand sharpening at no additional cost.
When we sharpen your knives, we perform a "Free 5-Point Quality Knife Inspection":
We check the blade, bolster, tang, handles and rivets/pins for cracks, rust, bent metal or problems with the handles to make sure they are safe and ready to use.
Pick-Up, Delivery and Mail-Order Sharpening Options:
We also offer sharpening-by-mail. Simply wrap, box and ship your knives to us and we will sharpen them and mail them back to you USPS Priority Mail at the actual postage rate plus $5 handling. The United States Postal Service now allows you to ship a medium or large priority box anywhere in the US for $10.35 to $13.99 plus insurance.
