Arm Paper Cutter Blade Sharpening

At the Sharpening Shack, we can service your paper cutters that have a traditional arm used to cut paper stock. We offer a free inspection service to determine if your paper-cutter blade is still in good enough condition to be sharpened or if it should be replaced.

A good rule of thumb is; if your paper cutter blade has developed "major nicks, dings, and curls" from hitting the bed strip, then it's time to order a new blade. However if the blade just doesn't cut well and you may have a only few "minor nicks" in the blade, then it's a good idea to to get it sharpened. At a minimum, we recommend having your paper cutter blade professionally sharpened at least once a year.

The Sharpening Shack sharpens all types of armed paper cutters.  We sharpen both the cutter blade and the bed strip to provide the best cutting given the condition of the paper cutter.

• Complete cleaning of blade arm and bed area

• Remove rust and minor nicks from blade and bed

• Sharpen paper cutter blade

• Lubricate paper cutter arm

• Make minor adjustments so blade strikes bed properly

The cost for sharpening your paper cutter blade is as follows:

• $25 for extra large (25" or larger paper cutter blades)
• $20 for large (21" to 24" paper cutter blades)
• $15 for medium (13" to 20" paper cutter blades)
• $10 for household (12" paper cutter blades)
